Activated carbon which is the main filtration component of an Allerair air purifier is the only known media proven to effectivelly remove the effects of tobacco smoke long after the active smoking ceased.
Dangerous substances, compounds of tobacco smoke (benzene,toluene, arsenic, nicotine,cynide, trichlorethylene...) are lingering to the walls, draps or furniture coatings beeing released as the air circulates through the room.
Recirculating a continuous flow of air, at low speed (400 CFM) through an activated carbon filter allows it to be properly cleaned of these nocive pollutants.
